Network Engineer

About the role

FS TECH PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis in the Kallang Central Region. This is a strategic role that plays a critical part in maintaining and optimising our network infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity and performance across the organisation. As a Network Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our technical operations, responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network systems that support our business objectives and drive operational excellence.

What you'll be doing

• Design, implement, and deploy network solutions that meet organisational requirements and industry best practices

• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimise network configurations to ensure reliability and efficiency

• Troubleshoot network issues and provide technical support to resolve connectivity and performance problems in a timely manner

• Configure and maintain network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers

• Manage network security protocols and implement measures to protect network infrastructure from unauthorised access and threats

• Document network configurations, procedures, and changes to maintain accurate technical records

• Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to plan network upgrades and expansions

• Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure network systems remain current and secure

• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members as required

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in network engineering or network administration roles

• Strong knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and technologies such as TCP/IP, OSI model, Ethernet, and VLANs

• Proven experience configuring and managing network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls

• Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, Ping, Tracert, and SNMP

• Solid understanding of network security principles and experience implementing security solutions

• Experience with cloud networking technologies and virtualisation platforms is highly desirable

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to document technical information clearly

• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are preferred
