About the Role:
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Software Engineer to work across enterprise integration platforms, with a strong focus on IBM DataPower and IBM API Connect (APIC).
The role involves designing, implementing and supporting integration solutions, providing technical guidance, resolving complex technical issues and ensuring high-quality delivery across development and production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure and support IBM DataPower and API Connect solutions.
- Analyse existing systems and business requirements to develop effective integration solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across software development and integration projects.
- Support solution design, development, testing, deployment and production activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and integration issues.
- Optimise platform performance, reliability and operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, designs and implementation reports.
- Apply industry standards, best practices and established development methodologies.
- Identify and manage technical risks throughout project delivery.
- Support platform maintenance, upgrades, patches and ongoing improvements.
Essential Skills & Experience- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with IBM DataPower and API Connect (APIC).
- 3–5 years of experience delivering software/integration projects within defined quality standards.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise integration technologies.
- Experience designing, configuring and supporting DataPower and APIC environments.
- Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and integration patterns.
- Experience preparing clear and comprehensive technical and solution design documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver within tight deadlines.
- Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring and knowledge transfer.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
