Software Engineer (Ground Systems)

Join AnySignal as a Software Engineer to develop software that connects, operates, and scales our ground network. This role involves building distributed services that connect ground stations, cloud infrastructure, and customer-facing systems. You will design, develop, and operate software that supports AnySignal's ground network across cloud and edge environments, deploy and operate containerized services using Kubernetes, and troubleshoot software, networking, and infrastructure issues. A strong background in software engineering, cloud environments, and networking fundamentals is required.

- Strong software engineering experience in Python, Go, or a similar programming language
- Experience developing and operating software in AWS or similar cloud environments
- Strong experience developing and operating software on Linux
- Ability to work independently and take ownership in a fast-moving engineering environment
- Experience with logging, monitoring, observability, and production software reliability
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols, including TCP/IP
- Experience troubleshooting network connectivity and distributed software systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- Experience with automated testing and software validation
- Experience building backend services, APIs, or distributed systems
- To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including ITAR, applicants must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the necessary authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
- Experience developing software deployed across both cloud and edge environments
- Experience with satellite ground systems, satellite communications, or telecommunications infrastructure
- Experience developing software that interfaces with or operates physical infrastructure
- Understanding of electrical, RF, networking, or communications systems
- Experience deploying and operating containerized applications using Kubernetes
- Experience with scheduling, orchestration, or resource-management systems
- Experience working in an early-stage or high-growth engineering environment
