Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Integrations)

Join Aberdeen's Digital Engineering team as a Senior Full-Stack Engineer. In this high-impact role, you'll lead the design, development, and support of applications, APIs, and backend integrations. You'll work closely with architects, product teams, and engineers, taking ownership of key technical workstreams and driving engineering excellence across the software lifecycle. Your expertise will include C# .NET, Microsoft Azure, GitHub, and modern DevOps practices.

- Strong Microsoft Azure experience covering application hosting, networking, monitoring and integration services
- You combine strong technical expertise with a practical, collaborative approach, working confidently across application development, cloud platforms and integration technologies. You're motivated by modernising platforms, improving automation and helping teams deliver high-quality outcomes
- Solid understanding of integration patterns, distributed systems and secure application architecture
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including maintainable design, testing, code review and continuous improvement
- Advanced C# and .NET development skills, including asynchronous programming, dependency injection and automated testing
- You're an experienced engineer who enjoys tackling complex technical and data challenges, building secure and reliable services that deliver measurable business and client value
- Extensive experience designing and securing APIs, including REST, OpenAPI, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and service-to-service communication
- Strong SQL skills, including data modelling, performance optimisation and data-quality analysis
- Experience mentoring engineers and supporting team development through coaching and code reviews
- Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions and modern CI/CD practices
- Proven ability to lead technical delivery within Agile teams
- Experience using GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted engineering tools
- Cloud resource provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code, ideally Terraform
- Experience building orchestration and batches using Azure Data Factory
- Test automation with Playwright and TypeScript
- Experience building user-focused frontend experiences with React
