We are working with an established global organisation seeking an experienced AI Solutions Engineer / Architect to play a key role in the design, development and delivery of enterprise AI solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong AI professional who wants to combine hands-on engineering with solution architecture and technical leadership.
You will take ownership of existing AI applications already operating in production while helping design and deliver new AI capabilities across the business. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge technologies including Generative AI, Agentic AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Python and Microsoft Azure.
This is particularly well suited to someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, improving existing systems and influencing how AI technologies are adopted at enterprise scale.
Please note this role will be fully onsite during the probation period.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deploy enterprise AI solutions using Generative AI, LLMs, RAG and agentic AI technologies.
- Take technical ownership of existing production AI applications, ensuring reliability, performance and scalability.
- Develop and enhance multi-agent AI workflows using Python, LangChain and LangGraph.
- Architect AI solutions leveraging Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search and Azure AI Document Intelligence.
- Build intelligent document processing, information extraction and automated business workflows.
- Evaluate and optimise AI models for accuracy, performance, latency and cost.
- Establish best practices for AI engineering, model evaluation, monitoring and deployment.
- Integrate AI solutions with enterprise platforms, APIs and Microsoft technologies.
- Implement robust AI security, governance and responsible AI practices.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, business stakeholders and external technology partners to deliver scalable AI solutions.
- Contribute to technical architecture decisions, documentation and reusable engineering standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience in AI engineering, solution architecture or software engineering with a focus on Generative AI.
- Advanced Python development skills, including building, testing and maintaining production applications.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
- Experience developing agentic AI solutions using LangChain, LangGraph or similar frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure AI technologies, particularly Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search.
- Experience designing and implementing API-driven architectures and enterprise integrations.
- Understanding of vector search, embeddings, semantic retrieval and intelligent document processing.
- Experience deploying, monitoring and supporting AI applications in production.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, LLMOps, model evaluation and AI application security.
- Ability to work independently, solve complex technical problems and provide technical leadership.
Desirable Experience
- Azure AI Document Intelligence and Microsoft Graph integrations.
- React or TypeScript development experience.
- Infrastructure as Code, particularly Bicep.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and automated deployment pipelines.
- Knowledge of AI guardrails, prompt-injection prevention and responsible AI.
- Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications.
