We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer | Java to join our engineering team in Lisbon and contribute to the evolution of a large-scale technology platform.
We are looking for someone with strong experience in Java, who is comfortable working across the full development lifecycle, from back-end services and APIs to front-end applications, integrations, and architectural decisions.
What you’ll be doing
- Design and deliver end-to-end features using Java for back-end services and React.js for front-end applications;
- Develop and integrate secure authentication solutions based on Okta, SSO, and OIDC, adapting configurations to different regions and business contexts;
- Build, enhance, and maintain REST APIs, ensuring clear and comprehensive OpenAPI documentation;
- Develop event-driven solutions using technologies such as AWS SQS and Solace;
- Manage front-end packages and dependencies using npm, following modern development practices;
- Apply secure approaches to token management, authentication, and session renewal within React applications;
- Maintain high standards of code quality and security through tools such as SonarQube and Snyk, supported by structured code reviews;
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team;
- Take part in architectural discussions and help shape engineering standards and best practices across the platform.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of professional software development experience;
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and React.js;
- Solid knowledge of REST APIs and OpenAPI;
- Experience with Okta, SSO, and OIDC is highly valued;
- Understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous communication patterns;
- Experience with AWS SQS and/or Solace;
- Familiarity with code quality and security tools such as SonarQube and Snyk;
- Strong software engineering practices, including code review and version control;
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team;
- Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior developers is a plus.
