We are looking for a Data Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and semantic models using Power BI, ensuring visual clarity, performance, and business relevance;
- Develop and implement new metrics, KPIs, and performance indicators in collaboration with business units;
- Design, maintain, and optimize complex and unified data models, including appropriate relationships, grain, dimensional structures, and key strategies;
- Develop, monitor, and troubleshoot data engineering and ETL/ELT pipelines using Dataiku, ensuring reliable data processing and integration;
- Develop and maintain dbt projects, including models, sources, documentation, lineage, reusable transformations, and automated data quality tests;
- Write, review, and optimize advanced SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, modeling, and reporting, using Big Query as the primary analytical platform;
- Utilize Python for data processing, automation, integration, and data engineering tasks;
- Work with the GCP data ecosystem, including Big Query, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer/Airflow, IAM, and other relevant cloud services;
- Use Terraform and Infrastructure as Code to provision and manage GCP resources and data platform jobs in a consistent and controlled manner;
- Implement data quality, governance, metadata, cataloging, documentation, and lineage practices across the data lifecycle;
- Manage Power BI workspaces, datasets, semantic models, and deployment processes while ensuring appropriate security and access controls.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field;
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in similar type of responsibility;
- Fluent in English – C1;
- Strong experience in developing dashboards, semantic models, and visualizations using Power BI;
- Advanced proficiency in DAX and Power BI workspace management;
- Proven experience with data modeling, including complex analytical models, dimensional modeling, unified models, relationships, and different key strategies;
- Strong experience with dbt, including model development, documentation, data catalog/metadata, lineage, testing, and data quality practices;
- Hands-on experience with Dataiku for data engineering, data preparation, transformation, and data quality assessment;
- Excellent skills in SQL, including complex transformations and query optimization;
- Proficient in Python, particularly for data transformation, automation, and integration tasks;
- Strong experience with GCP, particularly Big Query and cloud-based data platforms;
- Experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code and provisioning/managing GCP resources and data platform jobs;
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata management, lineage, and documentation;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
