Design, code, and maintain software applications meeting business and platform requirements
Deliver technical solutions and hands-on development expertise within a team environment
Contribute to Appian platform administration
Apply strong technical knowledge within the Appian domain
Develop code that accelerates impactful initiatives in a HIPAA-regulated environment
Design and develop software solutions using Appian process models, SAIL interfaces, record types, expression rules, AI enablement, and reusable components
Configure and optimize the Appian platform and address technical issues
Develop and maintain integrations between Appian and other systems using RESTful services, APIs, and enterprise data sources
Support workflow and case management solutions based on Appian
Evaluate and implement Appian platform features and upgrades
Promote Appian best practices and alignment with engineering standards
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
4+ years of substantial, hands-on experience developing with Appian
4+ years of experience designing, developing, and testing software applications and/or infrastructure
Experience building workflow-driven and case-based applications in medium-to-large-scale environments
Good understanding of platform security, integrations, and data access patterns
Exposure to regulated environments, including security, compliance, auditability, and reliability
Hands-on experience with Web API development, messaging queues such as Kafka, and other Appian integration capabilities
Familiarity with Appian SAIL, Records, Data Fabric, and platform deployment processes
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
Appian Certified Developer or equivalent Appian platform certification preferred
Experience with Appian AI capabilities, including AI modeling and automation features preferred
Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python preferred
Development or administration experience with SQL, relational databases, cloud databases, and data platforms preferred
Databricks, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL preferred
Object-oriented design and development techniques preferred
Kafka or other enterprise messaging/event-streaming platforms preferred
Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload for Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees
