Freelance Medior AWS / Platform Engineer
For one of our clients, we are looking for a freelance Medior AWS / Platform Engineer to strengthen their Data & AI Platform team.
You will work on the cloud platform and tooling used by engineering teams to develop, deploy and operate data and AI solutions. The role combines AWS cloud engineering, software development, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD.
Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain and improve solutions within AWS
- Develop and automate cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
- Build and improve deployment pipelines and internal platform tooling
- Develop reusable platform components and automation for engineering teams
- Support, monitor and troubleshoot existing cloud environments
- Improve the reliability, scalability and developer experience of the platform
- Work closely with Platform Engineers, Data Engineers and AI Engineers
Profile:
- Medior-level AWS / Platform / Cloud Engineer
- Several years of hands-on AWS experience
- Experience with Terraform and/or AWS CDK
- Experience with Python
- Experience with CI/CD, preferably GitHub Actions
- Experience working in cloud-native / DevOps environments
- Comfortable with Git and modern software development practices
- Able to independently build and automate cloud solutions
- Experience with TypeScript, Databricks or Data/AI platforms is a plus
- Dutch or English speaking
