Senior Network Engineer – Data Centre | Sydney | 6-Month Limited Term
An opportunity has opened within our growing Professional Services team for an experienced Senior Network Engineer specialising in Data Centre Networking to join our Sydney team on a 6-month limited-term contract.
Working across enterprise customer environments, you'll deploy, configure and support modern data centre networking solutions, with a particular focus on Cisco ACI, Nexus and multi-site data centre environments.
You'll work alongside Solution Architects, Project Managers and technical specialists to deliver solutions through implementation, testing, migration and operational handover.
In this role you will:
Deploy, configure and support Cisco ACI and Cisco Nexus solutions, including ACI Multi-Site and Multi-Pod environments.
Configure and support Cisco Nexus Dashboard and Nexus Dashboard Orchestrator (NDO), including multi-site fabric environments.
Implement and troubleshoot VXLAN EVPN, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking.
Support integration across data centre networking, Cisco UCS, compute, security, firewall and load-balancing environments.
Translate approved designs into implementation activities and produce low-level designs, migration plans, as-built, change and supporting technical documentation.
Perform testing, migration, cutover and deployment activities, troubleshooting complex issues and acting as a senior technical escalation point.
Work closely with customers, architects, project teams and vendors, proactively managing technical risks, issues and dependencies to achieve agreed project outcomes.
About You
Extensive hands-on experience implementing, supporting and troubleshooting enterprise and data centre network environments.
Deep technical capability across Cisco ACI, Nexus and NX-OS, including ACI Multi-Site, Multi-Pod or comparable multi-site architectures.
Strong understanding of VXLAN EVPN, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs and enterprise Layer 2/Layer 3 networking.
Experience with Cisco Nexus Dashboard/NDO, together with working knowledge of Cisco UCS and data centre compute/network integration.
Experience integrating data centre networking with security and application delivery technologies such as F5, Fortinet, Check Point or similar platforms.
Strong customer-facing delivery capability, including technical documentation, formal change processes and working across engineering, architecture and project teams.
Relevant industry certifications such as CCNP Data Center, CCIE Data Center or equivalent will be highly regarded.
