Senior Staff Software Engineer (Data Product Platform)

Join Pinterest as a Senior Staff Software Engineer, where you will provide technical leadership and direction for our data product platform. You will architect and drive solutions to handle increasing data volume, navigate business complexity, and accelerate analytical velocity. Your responsibilities will include defining and designing Pinterest's data warehouse architecture, setting the strategic direction for data analytics tools, and leading cross-functional initiatives across the data ecosystem. You will also mentor and elevate the technical bar for engineers and collaborate with stakeholders across Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams.

- 12+ years of relevant industry experience with large scale data warehouses, data tools and platforms
- Ability to work with cross-functional partners across multiple organizations
- 5+ years experience building data warehouses and tools around the data ecosystem with technologies such as Spark, Trino, Flink, Airflow, Querybook, Superset, DataHub, etc
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience building AI tools and platforms to accelerate data pipeline authoring, data analytics and engineering productivity
- Hands-on experience building tools and data pipelines leveraging AI coding tools, e.g. Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, etc
