Golang Lead Engineer

- Experience building and operating containerised services, with knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker and modern cloud deployment approaches
- Excellent critical thinking, decision making and stakeholder collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate technical trade-offs clearly and influence outcomes. - Strong DevOps and operational engineering capability, including CI/CD, automated testing, release practices and production support
- Strong Software Engineering expertise, with significant experience building and operating production backend services in Go, including testing, concurrency, code quality and maintainable service design
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to mentor engineers, guide technical decisions and lead delivery through ambiguity
- Experience designing and delivering microservices, APIs, integrations and distributed systems, balancing performance, resilience, security and maintainability
- Experience modernising legacy applications into well-owned backend services
- Experience within a regulated financial services environment or other large-scale enterprise organisation
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Azure, OpenShift, platform engineering capabilities or internal developer platforms
- Experience using AI tools responsibly to support software development, testing, documentation or operational activities
