Lead the design, development, and testing of software in an agile collaborative environment
Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, delegate tasks, and provide guidance
Resolve complex software trouble reports using debugging tools
Identify and fix software defects and optimize code performance
Provide technical leadership and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure adherence to industry best practices
Contribute to requirements, implementation, and test development
Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines to analyze, implement, and test system modification requests
Develop mission-critical ground software for networking, command and control, threat, and weapon simulations
Support secure Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation systems from concept through accreditation, production, and installation
Requirements:
Experience with software development, test, and/or integration using Java, C++, or C#
Experience with agile software development methodologies such as Scrum, SAFe, or DevSecOps
Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date
U.S. citizenship required
Typically, a STEM degree and minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
Experience with Python is preferred
Experience with Windows and Linux development environments
Experience with multithreading
Experience with networking and communications protocols
Experience with CI/CD tools and infrastructure such as Jenkins, Git, and Bitbucket
Experience with containerized applications such as Docker
