About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team remotely from Tampa. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with core AWS services, containerization technologies, and infrastructure automation. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native applications and infrastructure. The AWS DevOps Engineer will work closely with development, operations, and leadership teams to establish best practices for CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and system monitoring. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to large-scale systems, improve deployment processes, and ensure optimal performance and security of our cloud environments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with core AWS services and cloud architecture design.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.
- Strong knowledge of Helm, Artifactory, SonarQube, and related DevOps tools.
- Experience in building and maintaining cloud-native applications.
- Solid background in Linux/Unix administration.
- Proficiency in writing infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar tools.
- Previous exposure to large-scale systems design and architecture.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language from our stack, such as C# or TypeScript.
- Understanding of security best practices, including IAM roles, KMS, and encryption strategies.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for distributed systems.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Define and document best practices and strategies for application deployment, infrastructure management, and security.
- Design, implement, and support platform services related to CI/CD pipelines to streamline development workflows.
- Configure and manage monitoring and alerting systems such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and ELK stack to ensure system health and performance.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to align technical strategies with organizational goals.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, CDK, or similar tools to automate provisioning and updates.
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS native services to enable continuous integration and delivery.
- Ensure application security by applying best practices such as role-based access control, encryption, and secure secret management.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to enhance scalability and reliability.
- Participate in system design discussions, providing expertise on cloud architecture and DevOps methodologies.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve deployment and operational processes.
