Senior Software Engineer

We're hiring Infrastructure Engineers at both mid and senior level for a rapidly growing international technology company expanding its engineering team in Lisbon.

This isn't a traditional DevOps position. We're looking for software engineers with a strong infrastructure/platform focus who enjoy building the tooling, automation and systems that enable complex applications to operate reliably at scale.

What you'll be doing

• Build infrastructure tooling and automation using Python and/or Go
• Work extensively with Kubernetes and containerised environments
• Develop tooling around deployment, orchestration and observability
• Improve platform scalability, reliability and availability
• Work across modern cloud environments
• Build and improve CI/CD and internal engineering tooling
• Work with distributed systems, databases and messaging technologies
• Solve complex production and infrastructure problems

What we're looking for

• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience
• Commercial experience with Python and/or Go
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Cloud experience across AWS, Azure or GCP
• CI/CD knowledge
• Experience building infrastructure or platform tooling
• Exposure to technologies such as Kafka, PostgreSQL, Prometheus, Grafana or OpenTelemetry

For the Senior position, we're looking for greater experience owning infrastructure design, solving complex scalability challenges and influencing technical decisions.

A strong opportunity for engineers who sit at the intersection of software engineering, infrastructure and platform engineering and want to build rather than simply maintain infrastructure.

Salary up to €100,000 depending on experience
