Network Security Engineer

As a Network & Security Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, operating, and continuously improving modern network and security platforms across datacentre and public cloud environments. Working within a highly skilled managed services team, you will contribute to the stability, scalability, and security of critical customer infrastructures while helping to shape the future direction of networking and security services.

You will be responsible for the design, transition, and operation of enterprise network and firewall environments, ensuring high availability and performance across both on-premises and cloud-based platforms. Acting as a subject matter expert, you will support the resolution of complex incidents and technical challenges, define and maintain architectural standards and best practices, and provide technical leadership for selected technologies and initiatives. You will also actively contribute to a collaborative DevOps culture, focusing on automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

To succeed in this role, you bring a strong background in the architecture, implementation, and operation of datacentre and public cloud networks. You possess deep expertise in routing, switching, Wi-Fi, VPN, and firewall technologies, combined with practical experience in automation and scripting. A degree in Computer Science (FH/HF) or equivalent professional experience is expected. You are analytical, solution-oriented, and enjoy working closely with colleagues and customers to deliver reliable and secure infrastructure solutions.

Fluent German is mandatory for this position, as the role requires regular communication with Swiss German-speaking customers and stakeholders. Good English language skills are also required.
