Full-Stack Software Engineer

Join Burq, a fast-growing startup in the logistics and delivery space. As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will take ownership of problems end to end, build APIs and integrations, and work closely with enterprise retailers. This is a high-impact role that requires a strong ownership mindset, experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript, and a comfort with SQL and NoSQL databases. You will also use AI tools daily to enhance your work.

- Strong experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript on the backend
- Solid experience designing and building REST APIs and microservices
- Experience building web applications with React or a similar modern framework
- A strong ownership mindset: you take problems from ambiguous to done, follow through without being chased, and hold yourself accountable for outcomes, not just tickets
- Comfortable with SQL and NoSQL databases and with building on AWS
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping and owning production systems
- Clear, direct communicator who can work with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers
- AI-native: you actively and fluently use AI tools (Claude, Unblocked, etc.) in your daily work and adopt new tooling quickly
- Experience integrating with third-party systems and APIs, including webhooks, authentication, and handling failures gracefully
- Experience with delivery, logistics, or marketplace platforms
- Experience with workflow orchestration (e.g., Temporal) or event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka)
- Experience with enterprise integrations and security requirements (SSO, IP allowlisting, audit logging)
