Java Software Engineer

An established IT services business is looking for a software engineering professional to join their development team. The role focuses on modernising existing architectures and implementing high-quality software solutions within a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the evolution of core platforms while ensuring technical excellence across the full development lifecycle.

What you'll be doing

• Migrating legacy Swing-based interfaces to modern React-based frontend architectures

• Coordinating and implementing UI/UX specifications in alignment with design standards

• Developing comprehensive JUnit tests to ensure software quality and stability

• Creating and maintaining build configurations, scripts, and technical documentation

• Managing tool landscapes including Git and repositories to ensure stable operations

What we're looking for

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or an equivalent technical qualification

• Extensive professional experience in large-scale software development projects

• Deep proficiency in JavaEE, Swing, JUnit, Maven, Gradle, and Git

• Experience with legacy code, code analysis, and reverse engineering processes

• Fluency in German and English with strong communication and analytical skills
