Join our team as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, where you will be responsible for the creation and development of embedded software for advanced distributed spectral monitoring systems. You will work independently with limited supervision, own complex project streams, and make significant contributions to departmental goals. This role offers strong technical ownership and opportunities to guide and mentor peers in a fast-paced engineering environment.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or delegating tasks to lower-level engineers
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and drive projects to completion
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills
- Strong modern C++17 (ISO/IEC 14882:2017) programming skills in a Linux environment
- Proven hands-on experience with Rust in a Linux or embedded context
- University degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related engineering field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in software engineering
- Demonstrable experience using AI tools to accelerate development while maintaining strict quality standards
- Signal processing domain knowledge
- Experience defining engineering policies, quality standards, or system architecture updates
- Practical experience in project management methods
- Design and implementation of kernel-level and/or driver code
- Experience with distributed and networked systems
- Python / Docker / Git / Linux shell scripting skills
