Systems Engineer (Metrics and Alerting)

Join Cloudflare's internal Observability Team as a Systems Engineer. In this role, you will design, deliver, and operate software and a platform that enhances Cloudflare's Observability competency. You will work on highly distributed and scalable systems, solve scaling bottlenecks, and participate in knowledge sharing and mentoring. - A Software Engineering background and proficiency in high-level programming languages (e.g., Go)
- Strong bias for action
- Proficiency in Prometheus, Alertmanager, Thanos
- Proficiency in designing high-scale distributed systems
- Experience working in a 24/7/365 service environment
- Proficiency in distributed Linux environments
- Proficiency in Data structures and databases like TSDBs, Columnar stores or related
- Familiarity with Internetworking, networking protocols Layer 2-7 of the OSI model and BGP
- Exquisite written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a fast, high-growth environment
- Experience with high-bandwidth transit Internetworking and routing
