Software Engineer Intern (People Team, Summer 2026)

Join Cloudflare as a Software Engineer Intern in the People Innovation Lab. You will build and deploy internal enterprise applications and tooling, focusing on making work smarter. This is a full-stack development role where you will write and review code, manage tickets/blockers, and coordinate with another intern. You will also have the opportunity to demo working products to leadership. - Experience with shared codebases (Git, meaningful commits)
- Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and comfortable with one back-end language/framework
- Pursuing CS, Software Engineering, or related degree (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to build and demonstrate a working web application
- Solid understanding of end-to-end web app functionality (HTTP, APIs, data persistence, deployment)
- Experience with a modern front-end framework (React, Vue, Svelte, etc.) and/or MCPs/APIs, data modeling, or systems design (for back-end seat)
- Familiarity with serverless/edge computing
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Windsurf, OpenCode)
- For UI seat: experience with design systems, Figma, or strong interaction design sense
- Prior sprint-based team experience
