To improve the quality and reliability of services supporting insurance products, the remote Senior Software Development Engineer in Test will design and maintain automation frameworks, own test strategies for backend APIs and microservices, and validate service behavior in cloud-hosted environments.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks and developer tools for QA and engineering teams
- Own the test strategy and execution for backend APIs, ensuring comprehensive coverage across various testing levels
- Establish reliable automated checks in continuous integration and delivery pipelines to enhance feedback speed
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 6-8 years of software testing or engineering experience, including 3 years focused on backend APIs and service architectures
- Extensive hands-on experience in developing test automation frameworks and integrating them into delivery pipelines
- Strong proficiency in a general-purpose programming language for designing and debugging test code
- Deep understanding of API testing, microservice interactions, and distributed application behavior
