Tasks
- Designing, developing and maintaining web applications, services and integrations that support Nintendo of Europe’s digital platforms.
- Implementing secure, scalable and maintainable frontend and backend solutions using modern web technologies.
- Developing and supporting integrations with Nintendo Account, analytics platforms, and internal and external services.
- Reviewing code, providing constructive feedback, and promoting engineering best practices.
- Troubleshooting application, infrastructure and integration issues and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Enhancing application performance, security, monitoring and overall reliability.
- Developing automated tests and contributing to CI/CD standards and guidelines.
- Supporting maintenance activities, including technical debt reduction initiatives.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, implementation guidelines and development standards.
- Supporting quality assurance, release management and deployments across Dev, QA and Production environments.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools and workflows.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in developing modern web applications.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Node.js and modern web frameworks, ideally Vue.js and Nuxt.
- Experience working with APIs, distributed systems, serverless architectures and cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Git workflows and software quality practices.
- Knowledge of web hosting, DNS and CDN technologies.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Experience with CMS platforms, Solr, Storybook and large-scale web platforms would be an advantage.
