About the Role

 

Most Important

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with senior-level ownership of backend systems

• 6+ years of professional Node.js experience.

• Deep proficiency in TypeScript with Express.js or NestJS.

• A track record of personally designing and owning complex third-party integrations in production, beyond standard SaaS APIs

• Strong experience with OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect, webhooks, and token lifecycle management.

• Experience building queue-driven systems (such as AWS SQS) that handle retries, dead-letter queues, backpressure, and idempotency.

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and an ORM such as TypeORM.

• Hands-on experience with AWS and Docker.

• Strong system design skills for resilient distributed systems and data synchronization with unreliable third-party APIs.

• A structured, repeatable workflow for building production software with AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar), including how you review and validate AI-generated code.

• Must be able to maintain at least 4-6 hours of dedicated daily core business hours overlap with U.S. Pacific Standard Time.

Nice to Have

• SAML 2.0, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), or SCIM experience.

• Microsoft Graph or Google Workspace API experience.

• Experience integrating construction software, ERPs, CRMs, or accounting systems.

• Experience creating internal AI engineering standards, tooling, or workflows.
