AI / ML Ops Engineer | Azure ML & Azure AI Foundry | Long Term Contract
Location: Remote, Latin America
A large US enterprise with global operations has built its machine learning and generative AI platforms on Azure. The ML platform is in production and used across the business, but it was built without the engineering underneath it. There is no CI/CD, no release automation and no hands-off operating model.
They want someone to fix that. You'll stabilize the platform, build the automation it's missing, and grow it alongside the generative AI platform as adoption increases. There is executive backing and budget behind it.
What you'll do
- Own and extend an enterprise Azure ML platform already in production
- Build the CI/CD layer from scratch: Git controls, automated deployments, infrastructure releases
- Set up containerization and separate development, test and production environments
- Automate the manual overhead out of the platform
- Direct external delivery partners so their work matches the architecture
What you need
- Ownership of a real enterprise ML platform, not a proof of concept or a vendor-managed service
- Hands-on Azure Machine Learning and Azure AI Foundry. AWS or GCP equivalents won't be considered
- CI/CD and infrastructure automation you built yourself
- 5 to 8 years across ML, AI and analytics platforms, with at least a year in platform operations
- Experience leading contractors or consultancies to deliver against a plan
Nice to have
- Enterprise generative AI platform experience
- Copilot or Copilot Studio rollout at scale
How the role works
- About 20% hands-on building and 80% leading external teams. In interview you'll be asked what you personally built, so come ready to talk specifics.
