Product Manager – B2B SaaS (Perth, WA)
An established, profitable Australian software company, part of a large global software group, is looking for a customer-focused Product Manager to own its core SaaS platform and lead its next stage of innovation.
Customers rely on it every day, and they have strong views on where it should go next. We want someone who will listen to them, turn what they hear into a clear roadmap, and make AI a real part of how the product delivers value.
The role
You'll own the product: what gets built, why and in what order. Customers will be the starting point for every decision. You'll report directly to the CEO and work closely with the implementation, support and development teams.
Customer at the centre
Spend regular time with customers, both on site and online, to understand how they use the product and where it falls short
Run customer advisory sessions, user testing and feedback loops, and close the loop so customers can see their input shaping the product
Own the enhancement request process: capture requests, assess them, prioritise them and communicate decisions clearly
Work alongside implementation and support teams so field insight reaches the backlog quickly
A roadmap driven by customer need
Build and own a roadmap based on evidence: customer problems, usage data, support trends and commercial impact
Balance individual customer requests against what serves the wider customer base and the long-term direction of the product
Translate customer needs into clear user stories, specifications and acceptance criteria an offshore team can build from
Publish and present the roadmap to customers, sales and senior leadership, and explain the trade-offs behind it
Measure outcomes after release, not just delivery
AI innovation
Define and lead the product's AI strategy, identifying where AI can save customers time, reduce risk and improve decisions in their operations
Find and prioritise practical use cases, such as intelligent automation, smarter compliance and safety insights, natural-language reporting and predictive workforce planning
Run fast, low-risk pilots with customers, measure the value and scale what works
Make sure AI features are introduced safely and responsibly, with strong data privacy, security and transparency for customers
Keep track of emerging AI capability and turn it into a competitive advantage
What you'll bring
5+ years in product management for B2B SaaS or enterprise software
A track record of building roadmaps from direct customer engagement, with the ability to show how customer insight changed what you built
Hands-on experience shaping or delivering AI or machine learning features in a commercial product, or a clear, practical point of view on how you would
Experience writing specs for, and working with, offshore or outsourced development teams
Comfort with Jira, Confluence or similar, and with agile delivery
The judgement to say no to a customer clearly and keep the relationship
Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
What's on offer
You'll own a product customers depend on and have the mandate to shape its AI future, backed by a stable global parent. There's a short line to decision-making, flexible working and a competitive salary package.
To apply
Send your CV and a short note covering two things:
A roadmap decision you made because of what customers told you
One way you'd use AI to deliver real value to customers
All applications will be treated in strict confidence.
