Sigma is supporting a financial institution in Canton Basel in the recruitment of an Avaloq Integration Engineer to join a specialized systems integration team working on strategic integration and platform projects.
You will join a small, experienced technical team responsible for building and evolving integrations around a core banking environment, with a particular focus on real time data flows, containerized platforms and reliable communication between business critical systems.
Your responsibilities
• Design, develop and maintain integration services within an Avaloq banking ecosystem
• Contribute to strategic integration projects involving real time and bi directional data exchanges
• Develop and support services running on modern container platforms such as OpenShift
• Investigate and resolve complex integration issues across applications and communication channels
• Collaborate closely with infrastructure, platform and release teams throughout the full delivery lifecycle
• Participate in testing, deployment and production rollout activities
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and reliability of the integration landscape
Your profile
• Higher education in Computer Science, Information Systems or a comparable technical field
• Professional experience in system integration, ideally within banking or financial services
• Strong hands on experience with Avaloq or a comparable core banking platform and its integration environment
• Good understanding of APIs, messaging and distributed system integration
• Exposure to technologies such as OpenShift, OpenAPI, Apache Kafka, Java or .NET is highly valuable
• Avaloq certification, particularly an integration focused certification, would be an advantage
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Comfortable working autonomously within a small, specialized technical team
• Fluent English
• European Passport is a must have at the time of application
