Pinterest is looking for a Senior Manager of Engineering to lead the Delivery Serving Infrastructure organization. This role will oversee serving framework foundations, developer experience, and core vertical infrastructure, ensuring highly reliable and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have experience managing software engineering teams, leading infrastructure engineering organizations, and a strong background in large-scale serving frameworks and reliability engineering.
- Experience with recommendation, search, ads delivery, retrieval, ranking, experimentation, or other high-scale content delivery systems
- Strong record of critically evaluating AI-assisted work through testing, source-checking, data validation, and peer review; protects sensitive data, avoids over-reliance on AI, and remains accountable for final decisions and deliverables
- Experience managing software engineering teams and leading infrastructure engineering organizations
- Proven ability to lead developer experience initiatives, agentic infrastructure tools, and incident investigation workflows
- Demonstrated ability to move engineering orgs from reactive maintenance to proactive resilience. Experience implementing sophisticated testing frameworks, automated regression suites, and observability practices that significantly improve MTTR and reduce developer on-call burden."
- Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve the speed and quality of day-to-day engineering work, including technical analysis, prototyping, design exploration, debugging, documentation, or synthesis of complex information
- Strong systems and operational judgment, with a track record of making sound tradeoffs across reliability, latency, scalability, product quality, engineering velocity, and infrastructure efficiency
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- Deep knowledge of large-scale serving frameworks, low-latency execution, reliability engineering, and infrastructure efficiency
