About The Role
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join Moody's dynamic DC&I DevOps team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the design, deployment, and ongoing operation of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and DevOps platforms that power Moody's digital products. Your expertise will enable the company to modernize its application architecture through innovative solutions such as serverless computing and containerization. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to implement Infrastructure as Code practices, optimize cloud resource utilization, and ensure the reliability and security of critical systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technologies, influence operational excellence, and contribute to the company's digital transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with source code management systems like GitHub, Bitbucket, or GitLab.
- Basic understanding of Linux-based operating systems and a willingness to expand technical expertise.
- Exposure to containerization technologies, including Docker.
- Knowledge of cloud and DevOps security concepts, including access controls, secrets management, and least privilege principles.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI is preferred.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts with enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can enhance processes and drive efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, deployment, and operation of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and DevOps platforms that underpin Moody's products.
- Drive the adoption of serverless architectures and container-based platforms to modernize applications and improve delivery efficiency.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code and Policy as Code practices to enhance consistency, governance, and compliance across cloud environments.
- Build and maintain secure, scalable continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines that facilitate efficient software delivery.
- Monitor and optimize AWS resource utilization to maintain a balance between reliability, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Manage software-as-a-service development tools and platforms to support secure and productive engineering workflows.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve operational excellence, automation, and platform reliability.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues, while contributing to documentation and knowledge sharing across teams.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, services, and industry best practices to enhance developer productivity, security, and scalability.
