We are looking for a Senior Simulation Software Engineer to help build and evolve a state-of-the-art robotics simulation platform. In this role, you will develop simulation capabilities using Python on Linux and work extensively with NVIDIA Omniverse / Isaac Sim to enable high-fidelity virtual testing environments for advanced robotic systems.
You will collaborate closely with robotics specialists across perception, control, manipulation, and autonomous mission planning, helping to bridge simulation and real-world robotics development.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and integrate simulation software using Python in a Linux environment.
- Build and enhance simulation environments based on NVIDIA Omniverse / Isaac Sim.
- Collaborate with robotics experts to translate requirements into scalable simulation solutions.
- Design and implement simulation tooling, workflows, and automation frameworks.
- Drive integrations across robotics, software, infrastructure, and simulation technology stacks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues spanning simulation, robotics systems, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
- Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions and work with external technology partners, including simulation vendors.
- Ensure software quality through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD processes, monitoring, and observability.
- Maintain a pragmatic approach to technical debt while delivering reliable and scalable solutions.
- Independently manage priorities and proactively engage with internal stakeholders to improve simulation capabilities.
- Contribute to a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment where individual impact is highly visible.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of professional experience developing software with Python in complex Linux-based environments.
- Strong understanding of software packaging, deployment, and dependency management in Python.
- Experience with simulation or game engines, ideally NVIDIA Omniverse / Isaac Sim. Experience with Unity, Unreal Engine, or Gazebo is also highly valued.
- Familiarity with robotics and 3D asset workflows, including OpenUSD, URDF, and mesh file handling.
- Solid foundation in software engineering best practices, including testing, debugging, CI/CD, code quality, and operational readiness.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Self-driven personality with a strong ownership mindset and a passion for solving complex technical challenges.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on robotics experience in areas such as perception, navigation, control, or manipulation.
- Experience working directly with simulation technology vendors.
- Knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to autonomous systems and machine learning workflows.
