Software Engineer (Simulation)

Join Neuralink, a pioneering company in brain-computer interface technology. As a Software Engineer (Simulation), you will be responsible for the end-to-end simulation of our next-generation surgical robot. Your work will enable test and verification to run on every commit, accelerating our development timeline. You will build the full robot simulation, test real robot software and firmware against simulated hardware, and write automated simulation tests. This role requires strong Rust skills, experience with async and concurrent systems, and a bachelor's degree in a technical field.

- Experience with async and concurrent systems, hardware interfaces, RPC, and telemetry
- Strong Rust skills; Python for test tooling and analysis. Bazel experience is a plus
- Real robotics / physics sim experience (MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or equivalent)
- Required: Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, etc.) or equivalent practical experience
- Experience building automated integration tests and debugging failures across software and firmware
- Effective at using AI agents to accelerate work while maintaining quality
