Software Engineer

Join Mastercard's Decision Management Platform (DMP) Authentication Decisioning team as a Software Engineer II. You will contribute to the development and operation of highly available, low-latency services that process authentication and decisioning requests at a global scale. You will work closely with experienced engineers, architects, product managers, and SRE teams while expanding your technical expertise and ownership across the full software development lifecycle.

- Experience working with source control systems such as Git
- Familiarity with Spring Boot or comparable enterprise development frameworks
- Experience developing software using Java or similar object-oriented programming languages
- Experience building REST APIs and backend services
- Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles
- Understanding of relational and/or NoSQL database technologies
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with automated testing practices and modern software development workflows
- Interest in distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, and highly scalable applications
- Understanding of secure coding practices and application security fundamentals
- Contribute positively to team culture and engineering excellence initiatives
- Are comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile environment
