Software Engineer - Full Stack (Mid-Level / Senior)

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deliver end-to-end features across frontend applications and backend services.
- Build modern, responsive web applications using React and TypeScript.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and backend services.
- Take ownership of features from initial requirements through to design, implementation, testing and production.
- Write clean, maintainable and thoroughly tested code.
- Develop automated unit, integration and acceptance tests.
- Ensure applications meet high standards for performance, scalability, security and usability.
- Collaborate with frontend, backend and full-stack engineers.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews and architectural decisions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across testing and production environments.
- Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into deliverable engineering tasks.
For senior engineers, responsibilities will also include leading technical design, breaking down complex problems, guiding implementation and supporting other engineers.
Essential Requirements
- Strong commercial experience developing modern web applications.
- Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.
- Experience developing REST APIs and backend services.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, architecture and design.
- Experience writing automated tests and maintaining high code quality.
- Ability to work across both frontend and backend systems.
- Experience delivering software into production environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across engineering teams.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies.
Desirable Experience
- Backend development using Go or Python.
- Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Microservices and distributed systems.
- SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Kubernetes and containerised applications.
- Experience working with large-scale enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of UI/UX principles, Figma or modern UI frameworks.
- Experience in financial services, payments or regulated environments.
- Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical degree.
