A global technology leader in the payments industry is seeking an AI/Software Engineer to join its Dublin-based team on an initial 12-month contract, with potential for extension. This is an opportunity to work on emerging AI technologies within a highly innovative technology environment.
As an AI/Software Engineer, you will focus on developing AI-driven solutions and intelligent applications, with particular emphasis on AI agents, Python scripting and Model Context Protocol (MCP). The role will suit an engineer who enjoys working with emerging technologies and turning AI capabilities into practical software solutions.
Develop and enhance AI-powered applications and solutions using Python.
Build and integrate AI agents to support intelligent application capabilities.
Work with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and emerging AI technologies.
Contribute to software engineering activities across the development lifecycle.
Collaborate with technical teams to develop practical, scalable AI solutions.
3-5 years' software engineering experience, with strong Python scripting experience.
Hands-on experience building AI agents and AI-powered applications.
Practical knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with emerging technologies.
Comfortable working collaboratively in a hybrid, project-based environment.
