7+ years of experience as a Senior QA Engineer working on complex, distributed systems and large-scale ETL/data pipelines.
Proven ability to lead and mentor a QA team, define QA strategy, and align quality goals with cross-functional stakeholders.
Deep proficiency in JavaScript and/or Python for backend and API automation, including REST testing and JSON schema validation.
Hands-on ownership of end-to-end API and pipeline testing: push/pull ingestion workflows (SNS/SQS, scheduled jobs) and consumption endpoints.
Large-scale data validation across millions of JSON records using AWS S3, Athena (SQL), and Glue Crawlers, including metadata mappings, date logic, and licensable filtering.
Expertise across the AWS ecosystem (S3, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, ALB, SQS/SNS, Athena) and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
Experience designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks (Jest or Pytest) integrated into CI/CD pipelines (AWS CodeBuild).
Performance and load testing with Locust, including bottleneck analysis (ALB, ECS, downstream services) and latency targets (p95/p99).
Observability and documentation: building dashboards (New Relic / OpenSearch) and maintaining clear Confluence test strategies and performance reports.
Validation of AI-powered features, including embedding generation (AWS Bedrock / Cohere) and vector-based retrieval in OpenSearch.
LLM-based automated test case generation and frameworks for validating semantic accuracy.
Architecting automated, ephemeral test environments, contract testing, or service virtualization.
Testing event-driven and streaming systems, with Docker and Kubernetes for test deployments.
Validating complex data models in vector and graph databases.
Proactive ownership — you set the quality bar rather than waiting for it to be handed to you.
Strong analytical thinking, with the patience to debug complex production issues in dynamic environments.
Excellent cross-functional communication with Product, Engineering, and DevOps leadership.
A mentor at heart, invested in growing the engineers around you.
Comfortable with ambiguity and scale, and energized by systems where quality is genuinely hard.
