Senior AI Engineer
This is an opportunity to join one of our Payments clients high-profile AI team, building intelligent products and agentic capabilities across a global digital platform. This is a hands-on role responsible for taking AI solutions from concept through to production, owning the full development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and deploy production-grade AI applications.
- Develop solutions using LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, tool calling and API integrations.
- Build across the full stack, including backend services, APIs, data models, cloud infrastructure and user interfaces.
- Evaluate and optimise AI performance through testing, monitoring and metrics.
- Drive technical decisions around model selection, scalability, reliability and cost.
- Collaborate with product, engineering and platform teams to deliver impactful solutions.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to technical standards and best practices.
Required Experience
- 5+ years' software engineering experience delivering production systems.
- Proven experience building and deploying AI-powered applications.
- Strong knowledge of LLMs, RAG, vector search, prompt engineering and agentic systems.
- Proficient in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures, data modelling and system observability.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and take ownership of delivery.
