Staff Software Engineer (Platform - Financial Engineering)

Join our team as a Staff Software Engineer in the Finance Engineering Platform group. You will be responsible for the frontend technical direction of systems that transform trading, payment, and transfer activity into accurate financial records. You will lead the design of auditable workflows, define end-to-end contracts with backend and API teams, and establish best practices for frontend quality. You will also partner directly with Finance and Accounting users to translate operational pain points into a clear product and technical roadmap.

- History of influencing technical direction across organizational boundaries and creating durable alignment among stakeholders with different priorities through written technical designs and product discussions
- Deep frontend architecture expertise including state management, API integration, performance optimization, accessibility, testing, and observability
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience building and shipping production web applications with React and TypeScript, with fullstack capability across frontend and backend services
- Experience building data-rich operational products, enterprise software, or workflow systems where accuracy and user trust are essential (financial systems, reconciliation, or payments domain experience preferred)
- Demonstrated track record leading ambiguous, cross-functional projects from problem definition through design, implementation, rollout, and iteration
- Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality
