About Our Client:

Our client operates in the conversational AI industry, focusing on developing voice agents for customer service. Their platform, active since 2020, processes millions of calls monthly for enterprise clients. A small, senior engineering team distributed across North America is responsible for building and enhancing the systems that support these interactions.

About the Opportunity:

The SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER is responsible for building and managing the platform that enables engineering teams to deliver reliable AI products at scale. This role involves ownership of key infrastructure areas such as CI/CD, developer experience, observability, and agent harness engineering, providing significant influence over platform development.

Responsibilities:

• Own and enhance CI/CD pipelines, including caching, architecture, developer self-service, and deployment workflows.
• Develop developer tools and platform features to reduce manual work and accelerate shipping.
• Extend the agent harness with continuous integration, sandboxes, guardrails, and validation for autonomous agents.
• Manage Kubernetes-based cloud infrastructure, focusing on cost efficiency, reliability, and observability.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices involving logs, metrics, and traces.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for core infrastructure, with infrequent non-business-hours pages.

Requirements:

• Six or more years of experience in software development enablement roles such as SRE, platform engineering, or developer experience.
• Demonstrated ownership of CI/CD platforms end to end, including caching, system design, and developer self-service.
• Proficiency with TypeScript or Node.js, Python, Terraform, Kubernetes, and familiarity with Helm.
• Practical knowledge of observability tools and practices, including monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
• Understanding of large language models and AI development tools with good judgment on their application.
• Experience working on fully remote teams and ability to pass a software engineer technical screen.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Base salary range of $160,000 to $210,000 USD, plus competitive equity; Canadian compensation bands are lower.
