Front End Tech lead
We're looking for an experienced Front-End Tech Lead to join a development team, taking technical ownership across front-end applications while supporting and mentoring other engineers. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining strong Vue.js development with technical decision-making, performance optimisation and close collaboration across wider engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of front-end developers, promoting strong engineering practices.
- Take ownership of front-end architecture and technical direction.
- Design and deliver scalable, high-performing web applications.
- Conduct code reviews and help establish consistent development standards.
- Identify and address performance and scalability issues across applications.
- Introduce new tools, technologies and practices to improve development efficiency.
- Work closely with product, backend and wider engineering teams to deliver solutions.
Key Skills
- 10+ years' experience within software development.
- 2+ years' experience in a technical leadership role.
- Strong commercial experience with Vue.js (Vue 2/3).
- Solid experience with Tailwind CSS.
- Strong experience integrating and working with APIs.
- Experience with MySQL and relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD.
- Experience with front-end testing tools such as Cypress.
- Comfortable working within Agile environments, including Scrum or Kanban.
- Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
