About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join MANTECH’s dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying, managing, and securing cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps and Data Engineers, to design and maintain robust systems that support mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud services, container orchestration, and infrastructure automation, coupled with a proactive approach to security and operational excellence.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess a combination of technical expertise and practical experience, including:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience working with SQL databases.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Linux or Windows system administration.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Elasticsearch.
- Proven experience working with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Strong understanding of systems design, scalability, and cloud architecture.
- Current/Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is mandatory for this position.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Deploy, provision, and secure AWS resources including EC2, S3, RDS, EBS, CloudWatch, and VPC, assisting with database sizing, management, and server security.
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins to support continuous integration and deployment processes.
- Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters to ensure uninterrupted development productivity across all environments.
- Run vulnerability scans, patch physical and cloud infrastructure, manage VPNs, and ensure SSL/TLS certificates remain current to uphold security standards.
- Maintain and update software architecture, focusing on secure infrastructure enhancements, system design, operational best practices, and proactive innovation.
- Collaborate closely with peers and customers in a fast-paced environment to enhance performance and scalability of systems and applications.
