IT Operations Platforms Specialist (OpenShift)

We're supporting a large-scale European public sector programme delivering critical digital infrastructure that serves millions of citizens. We're looking for a senior IT Operations Platforms Specialist to help run, optimise and evolve the enterprise platforms behind it.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the architecture and design of platform solutions across databases, middleware, virtualisation and container platforms
- Implementing and operating shared platform services including OpenShift, Splunk and Oracle Enterprise Manager, plus backup and restore solutions
- Running orchestration and automation tooling to maintain, optimise and extend the platform estate
- Managing monitoring, reporting and platform management tools to keep performance, availability and reliability high
- Troubleshooting and resolving platform incidents, including performance analysis and tuning
- Owning maintenance routines, schedules and operational procedures
- Producing and maintaining technical and operational documentation, working closely with architecture, development, infrastructure and operations teams
What you'll bring
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field
- 10+ years in IT platform operations, infrastructure or systems administration
- Mandatory: a valid OpenShift certification and proven hands-on OpenShift experience in an enterprise environment
- Hands-on experience across databases, middleware, virtualisation and container platforms
- Experience with Kubernetes, Splunk, Oracle Enterprise Manager or similar enterprise platforms
- Strong knowledge of automation, orchestration and monitoring tools
- Backup and restore, performance tuning and troubleshooting experience on enterprise platforms
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills
- Fluent English; French is an advantage
