Automation Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Ensure automated systems operate with maximum efficiency to meet customer order timelines.

• Monitor key systems, identify, and resolve issues and criticalities.

• Collaborate with a European network to track material handling equipment metrics.

• Provide stakeholders with graphical data representations for problem-solving.

• Oversee or actively participate in continuous improvement projects.

• Interpret mechanical drawings and electrical systems, defining improvement strategies.

What You'll Need

• A high school diploma or equivalent.

• Extensive experience with PLC-based control systems automation and troubleshooting in continuous production environments.

• Significant experience with material handling, flow visualization, capacity monitoring, and conveyor/sortation systems.

• Proficiency with at least one of the following: Microsoft Office, project management tools, EPLAN, Ladder Logic, Siemens/Allen-Bradley systems, Codesys PLC, Ignition SCADA, HMI, EthernetIP, Profinet, Profibus, AS-i, VFDs, safety gateways, or I/O devices.

• Advanced knowledge of English and Italian (spoken and written).

• Experience with data analysis and process improvement techniques.
