# Data Engineer
## About the Role
itD is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to build and modify high-complexity data pipelines, monitoring systems, and alerting solutions supporting a legal-focused infrastructure team. The role is focused on developing reliable data engineering capabilities using SQL, Python, ETL/data pipelines, and data warehousing.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise and a proven track record of leading cross-functional data engineering initiatives from planning through delivery. This is a remote position, with preference for candidates in California and occasional onsite work in San Francisco.
## Key Responsibilities
* Build and modify high-complexity data pipelines.
* Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems.
* Support data engineering initiatives for a legal-focused infrastructure team.
* Apply SQL and Python to data engineering solutions.
* Develop and manage ETL and data pipeline processes.
* Support data warehousing initiatives and solutions.
* Lead cross-functional data engineering initiatives from planning through delivery.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data engineering projects.
## Required Qualifications
* Experience as a Data Engineer.
* Deep expertise in SQL.
* Strong Python expertise.
* Strong experience with ETL and data pipelines.
* Strong data warehousing knowledge.
* Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional data engineering initiatives from planning through delivery.
* Experience working with high-complexity data pipelines, monitoring, and alerting systems.
## Preferred Qualifications
* California location, based on the stated location preference.
* Ability to occasionally work onsite in San Francisco.
