Software Engineer (See & Spray)

Join our See & Spray Team as a Software Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in delivering precision agriculture solutions to the world's farm fields. You will collaborate with a multi-functional engineering team to develop, test, and optimize software systems for our agricultural and construction equipment. Your responsibilities will include designing and testing robotics system software, providing troubleshooting support, documenting code and system architecture, and estimating time to completion for tasks. A strong background in distributed robotics software development, proficiency in C++ and Linux, and a passion for agriculture are essential for this role.

- Familiarity with SSH for remote access and scripting on single-board compute for rapid prototype/ test applications (i.e., Raspberry Pi use cases)
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex systems
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows
- Proficiency with Linux/bash environments and command-line tools
- BS degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
- 2 or more years of experience with distributed robotics software development in C++
- Strong written and verbal documentation
- OS and machine deployment + management ability (Ansible, etc.)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, iterative development environment
- Experience with real-time sensor integration and vision systems on autonomous vehicles or robotic systems
- Familiarity with GPU computing on edge devices and real-world constraints
- Experience with Python, especially in a robotics context
- Passionate about agriculture
