Rust Code Reviewer (Security & Architecture) - PT - Worldwide

About the company

Our helps businesses digitize their operations. Its first product is a multi-tenant SaaS ERP with a built-in accounting engine. Two institutional pilot customers are lined up before the public launch. The founder is building the product with AI coding agents (Codex, Claude Code) and needs an experienced engineer to act as the technical reviewer and quality gate.

The role

This is a review role, not a build role. You'll audit the codebase at four milestones. At each one you'll assess architecture, security, and correctness, then give clear, prioritized findings the founder can act on. You'll review AI-generated code, so you need a sharp eye for subtle logic, security, and data-integrity problems that look fine on the surface.

Occasional hands-on fixes may come up, but they are secondary.

Review scope

Milestone 1: System architecture and security architecture, including the Rust service layer

Milestones 2–4: Progressive reviews covering:

• Authorization and access control
• Financial integrity (ledger correctness, transaction atomicity)
• Multi-tenant data isolation
• Concurrency and race conditions
• Failure recovery and data consistency
• Reconciliation logic

Reviews happen roughly every 2–4 weeks, depending on development pace. You log hours only when you're actively reviewing.

Must-have

• Strong production experience with Rust, including async, error handling, and safe concurrency
• Deep PostgreSQL experience: transactions, isolation levels, locking, row-level security or tenant isolation patterns
• A track record of architecture or security code reviews, with clear written findings
• Experience with financial or transactional systems where correctness is critical

Nice-to-have

• Elixir / Phoenix
• Accounting systems, double-entry ledgers, IFRS
• Mobile money or payments integrations, especially in West Africa
• Experience reviewing AI-assisted or AI-generated codebases
