Data Analyst

For a Dutch organisation in Zeeland, we are looking for an experienced Freelance Data Analyst to support the Social Domain.

In this assignment, you will combine data analysis, Power BI and societal impact. You will help improve management information and decision-making, with a particular focus on Youth Care (Jeugdhulp), cost management and the further development of the municipality's data-driven approach.

The assignment

As Data Analyst, you will translate complex policy, financial and operational questions into clear insights, dashboards and recommendations.

Your responsibilities include:

• Developing and improving Power BI dashboards
• Analysing trends, performance and costs within Youth Care
• Working hands-on with SQL and DAX
• Developing and validating KPIs and indicators
• Improving data quality and data definitions
• Translating business and policy requirements into useful management information
• Providing data-driven advice to policy makers, management and operational teams
• Documenting definitions and delivered data products
• Working within GDPR, information security and responsible data-use requirements

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an independent Data/BI professional who combines strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate with different stakeholders.

You have experience with:

• Power BI
• SQL
• DAX
• Dashboard development and reporting
• Data analysis and data quality
• KPIs and management information
• Stakeholder management
• Microsoft Azure, or the ability and willingness to quickly develop your knowledge of Azure

Experience within a Dutch municipality or the Social Domain is highly desirable, particularly with topics such as:

• Jeugdhulp / Jeugdwet
• Youth Care
• Referrals and access
• Care products
• Municipal reporting and decision-making

Practical details

• Hours: 24 hours per week
• Location: Middelburg, Zeeland
• Working arrangement: Hybrid/onsite expectations to be confirmed
• Contract: Freelance / interim
• Language: Fluent Dutch required
