Senior Full Stack Software Engineer – Go / React

Lisbon | Up to €100,000 | Hybrid

Spectrum IT is working with an established international technology company that is expanding its engineering presence in Lisbon.

We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join a growing product engineering team. Although advertised at Senior level, we're also interested in speaking with strong mid-level engineers, with the salary and responsibilities adjusted accordingly.

This would suit an engineer who enjoys working across the stack but has strong foundations in backend software development.

The role

You'll work within a collaborative engineering team building and evolving complex, business-critical software.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing backend services using Go and/or Python
• Building user-facing functionality with React and TypeScript
• Designing APIs and services that can scale effectively
• Contributing to technical design and architectural decisions
• Improving application performance, reliability and maintainability
• Writing automated tests and maintaining high engineering standards
• Reviewing code and sharing knowledge with other engineers
• Working closely with product and engineering colleagues throughout the development lifecycle

What we're looking for

You'll ideally have:

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Commercial development experience with Go or Python
• Experience with React and TypeScript/JavaScript
• A strong understanding of backend software engineering
• Experience developing APIs, services or distributed applications
• Good knowledge of testing and modern software development practices
• Experience working with cloud-based production environments

Exposure to technologies such as PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, AWS, GCP or Azure would be useful, but we're not expecting candidates to have worked with everything listed.

We're also happy to consider experienced backend engineers who have meaningful frontend experience and are interested in working across the full stack.

Package & location

Salary: €55,000 – €100,000 depending on experience

Location: Lisbon

Working pattern: 4 days per week onsite
