About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Database Engineer to help build and scale enterprise Knowledge Graph capabilities. The role combines graph database engineering, GCP platform engineering, and AI/LLM technologies such as RAG and GraphRAG.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable Knowledge Graph platforms using both LPG and RDF technologies.
- Develop graph data models, ontologies, schemas, and production-grade data ingestion pipelines.
- Build and maintain reliable, secure, and observable graph platforms on GCP, with a focus on performance, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Develop AI-enabled retrieval and reasoning solutions using LLMs, RAG, GraphRAG, embeddings, and hybrid search.
- Work with product, data, architecture, security, and engineering teams to deliver reusable platform capabilities.
- Contribute to technical strategy, engineering standards, and long-term platform roadmaps.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in database or data platform engineering with strong hands-on experience in graph technologies.
- Production experience with both LPG and RDF, including technologies such as Neo4j, JanusGraph, GraphDB, Stardog, Neptune RDF, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of Cypher/Gremlin, SPARQL, RDF, RDFS, OWL, SHACL, and ontology modeling.
- Hands-on experience with GCP, particularly services such as GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and IAM.
- Experience integrating LLMs, embeddings, vector/hybrid retrieval, RAG, and GraphRAG into enterprise solutions.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or Java, Scala, or Node.js, along with experience in CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience leading engineering initiatives and delivering technical roadmaps.
Nice to Have
- Experience with multi-tenant platforms and platform productization.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, GitOps, observability, FinOps, and cloud cost optimization.
- Familiarity with AI model evaluation, guardrails, and responsible AI practices.
