Mandatory Requirements
- Solid professional experience in software development, with strong hands-on knowledge of C# and .NET backend development.
- Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles, software architecture and backend development best practices.
- Good understanding of database structures, principles and development practices.
- Experience with asynchronous programming, parallel execution and performance optimization.
- Experience contributing to distributed systems and microservices-based architectures.
- Ability to develop scalable, maintainable and reliable backend solutions.
- Professional working proficiency in English (C1).
- Collaborative, proactive and responsible mindset, with strong attention to code quality and delivery reliability.
- Availability to work remotely, with occasional presence at Hexa offices in Lisbon or Porto when required.
Nice to Have
- Professional working proficiency in French.
- Experience with real-time data streaming, protocol-level integrations or binary formats over HTTP or TCP.
- Experience in data protection, cybersecurity, privacy, banking, healthcare or another regulated environment.
- Experience developing customer-specific interfaces or bespoke backend modules.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and extend backend modules within a distributed microservices architecture using .NET technologies.
- Contribute to the maintenance and evolution of high-load, parallel and asynchronous services and databases.
- Build modules that parse, transform and stream data flows in real time across different formats and protocols.
- Work with relational and document databases to support platform features and data-processing requirements.
- Optimize backend services for performance, reliability and maintainability.
- Support customer implementations by adapting interfaces or modules to specific technical requirements.
- Collaborate with the development team leader and engineering colleagues to deliver high-quality code.
- Use source control, CI/CD and containerization practices to support controlled and repeatable delivery.
- Work in an Agile environment using collaborative tools for documentation, planning and delivery tracking.
