DevOps Engineer - Is that you?
Location: Lisbon (Hybrid) Experience Level: Senior Language: English (minimum B2)
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate cloud-native infrastructure supporting AI solutions, data platforms, APIs, intelligent agents, and enterprise services across Azure and AWS environments.
- Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code, deployment frameworks, and environment templates to accelerate the transition from proof of concept to production.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated provisioning, monitoring, logging, secrets management, and cloud governance practices.
- Collaborate with AI, Data Engineering, Security, and Platform teams to deliver scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions.
- Support architecture and operational decisions for data pipelines, event-driven services, integrations, and AI-powered platforms.
- Troubleshoot deployment issues, optimize performance, improve reliability, and ensure operational excellence across environments.
- Promote DevOps best practices, cloud cost optimization, and continuous improvement of developer experience and platform maturity.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and practical exposure to AWS.
- Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or similar.
- Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Docker, container orchestration, and cloud-native deployment patterns.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, observability, logging, and incident management practices.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with TypeScript is a plus.
- Good understanding of data engineering concepts, including ETL processes, data pipelines, storage solutions, and integrations.
- Knowledge of cloud security, identity and access management, encryption, networking, and compliance best practices.
- Experience working in cross-functional and international environments, collaborating with engineering and IT teams.
- Familiarity with GenAI development productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, automation, and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Snowflake or modern cloud-based data platforms.
- Knowledge of Azure AI Foundry, AI platforms, or intelligent automation frameworks.
- Exposure to agentic AI architectures, LangChain, MCP, or similar AI ecosystem technologies.
- Experience with frontend development, developer portals, internal platform tooling, or workflow orchestration solutions.
- Background in large-scale, multi-country enterprise environments.
- Cloud certifications such as Azure Administrator, Azure DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
- Experience supporting AI, machine learning, or data-intensive production workloads.
